Mark Trustin, J.D.
Mark S. Trustin is the founder and chair of the North Carolina Public Education Task Force. He is an attorney who has, over the last 20 years, concentrated on the representation of students in the public school systems who are denied required services and whose constitutional rights are violated.
Mark has served on the Boards of the following organizations: Durham Children’s Initiative (DCI), The Hill Center, SEEDS, Southern Coalition for Social Justice, and Student U. Mark co-founded and served many years on the Board of the Durham P.R.O.U.D. Program. He is also the founder of the Youth Justice Project of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.
Mark also served as an adjunct professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law (2001-2013). Mark earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and a law degree from Creighton University School of Law.
Mark and his wife, Dr. Marcia Angle, are socially, politically, and philanthropically active in the areas of education, social justice, and the environment.
